Pharmaceutical manufacturers in India and abroad have been using the conventional communiting mill and the similar prototype mill is being offered by various manufacturers. Hence, a strong need is felt among all to do their granulation work in a novel way with a high degree of convenience while maintaining their cGMP compliance.

This time also, Chamunda Pharmaceutical Machinery takes the lead to present its new communiting mill models CM MILL - I (with CCS), the most convenient and the safest way to meet the above expectation of industry. This compact designed mill having out put of 10 - 100 kg/hr not only conforms to cGMP norms but also is packed with a bundle of value added features.

Cleanliness is given a new dimension by providing chamber assembly in 4 pieces, which can be easily dismantled. The chamber is mounted on the platform, cladded with SS304 on both top and bottom side, resting on hard chrome plated / SS cladded legs for a perfect hassle free cleaning. The legs are fitted with stainless steal castor and PU wheels.

Convenience of operation lies in the easiest changeover of knife to impact edge or vise versa by simply taking out beater assembly and fit into reverse position without dismantling of shaft or chamber. Moreover, feed pan inclination can be adjusted quickly by a spring loaded knob without using any tool. The machine can be supplied with fix beaters or swing beaters as per user's requirement. The machine is compatible with screens of other manufactures of repute.

Safety of operator has been ensured during operation on this machine by interlocking belt guard, throat hopper and chamber assembly with the main motor. The beater assembly is mounted on cantilever shaft and other end supported, to avoid buckling even at abnormal load. Also, to maintain chemical properties of heat sensitive products the bearing pillow blocks are positioned away from the chamber to minimize heat conduction to chamber from heated bearings.

Application :

  • Mini CM Mill has been specifically designed for wet and dry granulation, pulverization or dispersion of products as ingredients found in the Pharmaceutical, Chemical and Food industries.

  • It also finds application in the Cosmetics, Confectionery, Fertilizers, Insecticides, Detergents and Electroflux industries etc.

Salient Features :

  • GMP point of view, machine is provided with S.S.cladding, water jacketed S.S. chamber with latest GMP concept - all four walls can be easily dismantled for 100% cleaning for changeover without tools & can be reassemble. No exposed painted surface of the machine.

  • Cantilever Beaters assembly are in a separate pillow blocks for ease in maintenance.

  • Very less down time, as only beaters assembly Bush will have to be reversed (and not the complete chamber or shaft) for making it knife to impact forward or vice-versa.

  • Fixed beaters assembly is provided as a standard supply which increases the output by 10 to 30% reduces noise level and is easy to clean as there are no cavities. (If product demands, swing beaters assembly can be provided.)

  • Beaters and shaft are of stainless steel. Beaters are fitted on a splined S.S.Bush.

  • Transmission of heat to the chamber from the bearings is minimum as they are away in separate pillow blocks. This facilitates to some extent in processing of heat sensitive products.

  • Beaters assembly is dynamically balanced which reduces vibration and noise level and increases bearings life.

  • Castors provided for mobility and breaks can be applied for fixing machine at one place.

  • Machine is available in water jacketed model. (Flame proof electrical can be provided on demand at extra cost.)

Operation :

  • Product kept in the hopper slides down to the enclosed chamber, where it is milled in between beaters and screen to the required mesh/micron size which can be collected at the bottom in the container. Quality and output depends upon the three main variables 1) Beaters shape (Knife/Impact forward) 2) Speed 3) Screen size/

  • Knife edge for coarse or large particles and impact or flat edge for finer particles. High speed for fine grinding, low speed for coarser particles. A wide range of screen is available for various process needs.
