Introduction
CM Mini Roll Compactor is totally based on Method of
Dry Granulation.
The powder charged in the feed hopper is predensified
and fed between two counter rotating rolls.
As the volume decreases through the region of maximum
pressure, the material is formed into a solid compacted
sheet.

The densified
sheets can then be granulated to any desired mesh size with
use of CM Granulator or CM Communiting Mill.
CM Mini Roll Compactor is designed to the same principle and
mode of operation as that of production size CM Roll Compactor.
Salient Features
SS 316 Contact Parts
The consolidating force on the material between the rolls
supplied by a hydraulic cylinder; provides uniform force
distribution to produce granules of uniform quality.
Separate electrical control panel
The feed screw assembly can be hydraulically lifted
by hand operated hydraulic pump and swung aside. This facilitates
easy access and cleaning of all parts having contact with
the product.
The basic model is supplied with water-jacketing at
all process sensitive areas like rolls, bowl & hopper.
Versatile for quick test for dry granulation characteristics.
Mini Roll Compactor is useful for testing compatibility of
small quantities of materials for formulation development
or for small-scale production of high value products. The
results obtained can be extrapolated to all production models
of CPMRC series.
Compact and portable design with single phase electrical
allows mobility for testing at sampling locations conveniently.
Speed of rolls can be varied to control compaction
force and output. Frequency controlled drive can be supplied
for rolls on demand, with extra cost.
Feed screw is driven through DC Drive (ACVF
can be supplied on request). Mechanical and electrical safety
devices are included for operators safety.
Applications
Compacted granules have higher bulk density so they occupy
lesser volume.
Less Dust / Fine powder in compacted granules minimizes cross
contamination and product loss.
Good flowability and dosing characteristics of compacted granules
resulted in more even fill and reduce the packing size.
Can be used as method of dry granulation.
